Ethical guidelines for working with the private sector

In furthering its mission and policies, the Global Forum for Health Research seeks to collaborate with a wide range of constituencies in and beyond the domains of health and health research. In any interactions that it may develop with commercial enterprises, the Global Forum places paramount importance on safeguarding its reputation and integrity of values. To this end:

  • The Global Forum will seek to avoid any actual or perceived conflict of interest in any dealings with commercial enterprises.
  • The Global Forum will exercise due diligence in all such dealings.
  • Open public access to information is the guiding principle on which the Global Forum operates.

The policies and practices of the Global Forum in all interactions with the private sector are set and regulated by the Foundation Council.
