Forum 2009: Innovating for the health of all to take place in Havana, Cuba from 16 to 20 November. Register here!
Forum 2009 is this year’s milestone event in research and innovation for health. With an expected participation of around 800, including policy-makers, experts from health/science ministries, research institutions, academia, the private sector and the media, we are confident that the theme of Innovating for the health of all will provide the framework for stimulating discussions and exchange of experience, particularly between countries of the South.
The timely and exciting theme explores the entire process from the generation of ideas, to their transformation into something useful, to their implementation. Innovation is needed for the discovery and development of new and more cost-effective drugs and vaccines, for their improved delivery and better use – always working for the health of all.
Join the Forum and take this opportunity to network with other participants and help increase understanding of the process of social and technological innovation so as to improve health and health equity.
As in former years, Forum 2009 is organized around a multiplicity of meeting opportunities (plenary and parallel sessions, the Marketplace, satellite meetings, site visits, essay competition) including some new session formats. These features reflect the nature of the Global Forum: catalytic, flexible, bringing together many partners.
Visit the Forum pages for full details on Forum 2009.
We look forward to welcoming you in Cuba and to sharing with you the preparation and outcomes of the meeting.
