Lightning talks

On Thursday 19 November one session in each of the slots for parallel sessions (morning and afternoon) will be devoted to lightning talks. Need illumination? Read on …

The aim is to engage participants and provide a space for learning and knowledge creation. A lightning talk is a brief, maximum five-minute presentation that allows participants to become acquainted with an individual’s views and project.

Absolutely no Power Point presentations are allowed!

Why lightning talks?

With the strong focus on innovation in Forum 2009, the Global Forum feels that there is much to be gained from sharing experiences from as broad a range of stakeholders as possible. Lightning talks are just one idea. You can join the session, listen to as many as 15 mini-presentations that span sectors and the globe, and learn something unexpected that sparks an idea.
