Promising Evaluation for Global Forum Initiative

The Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI), based at the South African Medical Research Council in Cape Town, receives promising feedback in a recent review.

The study was commissioned by the Global Forum for Health Research, and written by Stephanie M. Townsend, PhD and Angela Heimburger, MPH.

In general, it found that:-

  • Resources are used to promote awareness of sexual violence and has an influence on policy.
  • There has been increased membership and geographic reach
  • Work is relevant and consistent, and carried out efficiently.
